Background
A ONE Lightweight Muay Thai World Championship bout between current champion (also former two-time ONE Lightweight Kickboxing World Champion) Regian Eersel and George Jarvis is expected to headline the event.
The summer’s most anticipated event is coming to U.S. primetime on Friday, August 1, as an all-star cast of MMA and Muay Thai warriors look to shine in the spotlight at ONE Fight Night 34: Eersel vs. Jarvis, broadcasting live from Bangkok’s legendary Lumpinee Stadium.
In the headline attraction, the two most dangerous lightweight strikers on the planet collide for Muay Thai gold, and neither man has been knocked out in their entire career.
Ever since claiming the inaugural ONE Lightweight Muay Thai World Championship three years ago, reigning kingpin Regian Eersel has finished every athlete who has challenged for the belt. But surging British destroyer George Jarvis has every reason to believe he can dethrone the Dutch-Surinamese icon and realize his World Title dreams.
The card also features American grappling legend Garry Tonon, who makes his long-awaited return against Shamil Gasanov in a featherweight MMA rematch of their July 2023 clash. Tonon wants to finish the Russian contender once more and break into the World Title picture, while Gasanov yearns to avenge the only loss of his otherwise perfect career.
Plus, former ONE World Title challenger Kirill Grishenko, undefeated heavyweight phenom Ben Tynan, 21-year-old viral sensation Anna “Supergirl” Jaroonsak, top-five bantamweight MMA contender Jeremy Pacatiw, and Thai knockout artist Rungrawee Sitsongpeenong all step back into the ring.
