Background
ONE Championship returns to the legendary Lumpinee Stadium in Bangkok, Thailand, on May 23 with another explosive lineup as ONE Friday Fights 109 goes down live in Asia primetime.
This action-packed event features international rising stars from across the globe competing under Muay Thai, kickboxing, and MMA rules — all battling for a life-changing US$100,000 contract with the world’s largest martial arts organization.
In the main event, Thailand’s Yod-IQ Or Pimolsri will test his muay femur style against Algeria’s Brice Delval, a veteran of the ONE ring, in a bantamweight Muay Thai clash. With both fighters showcasing elite striking credentials, this battle promises technical brilliance and devastating power. Yod-IQ holds an impressive five straight victories and a dangerous kicking game refined through hundreds of fights. But Delval has tested himself against ONE World Champions like Nong-O and is a relentless pressure fighter who walks opponents down with powerful straight punches.
Before that, K-1 Champion Yuki Yoza of Japan will make his first bow in ONE when he faces Russia’s Elbrus Osmanov in a bantamweight kickboxing firefight. Yoza, who became a Karate World Champion at just 19 years old, brings his unorthodox fighting style that blends gut-wrenching calf kicks, powerful punches, and unpredictable spinning attacks against Osmanov’s perfect record.
But first, Yoza’s superstar compatriot Kaito makes his long-awaited promotional debut opposite of hard-hitting Iranian WBC Muay Thai World Champion Mohammad Siasarani in featherweight kickboxing action. Kaito brings his shoot boxing pedigree featuring lightning-fast hands and destructive kicks to the weekly series. He’ll face a determined Siasarani, who overcame childhood rheumatism before moving to Thailand at just 16 to pursue his Muay Thai dreams.
A bantamweight Muay Thai bout between Yod-IQ Or.Pimonsri and Brice Delval will be headline the event.
