Background
Florence, Italy (April 15, 2025) Bare Knuckle Fighting Championship (BKFC), has announced that BKFC Cruiserweight World Champion Chris Camozzi will now battle popular, local favorite Andrea ‘Italian Thunder’ Bicchi in the main event of BKFC-73 ITALY on DAZN scheduled for Saturday, April 26 at the Palazzo Wanny in Florence, Italy.
A native of Florence, Italy, the hard-hitting 28-year-old Bicchi boasts a record 4-1 in bare-knuckle fighting. He replaces Lorenzo Hunt who sustained a training injury late last week.
Said David Feldman, Founder and President of BKFC, “Andrea Bicchi is fighting in his hometown, so he has a lot to prove in front of his fans. He’s 4-1, his only loss was by split decision, he’s coming to fight and he’s coming to win. It’s a great local story for the Italian fans and should be a tremendous fight.”
Co-featured at BKFC-73 ITALY on DAZN in the welterweight division, #3 Ranked Rico ‘Bon Bon’ Franco will battle Irish bare-knuckle fighting legend Jimmy Sweeney for the BKFC European Title in a can’t miss, third fight of their trilogy, each holding a victory.
A BKFC Cruiserweight Championship rematch between current champion Chris Camozzi and Andrea Bicchi is scheduled to headline the event. Camozzi was scheduled to face former champion (also former BKFC Light Heavyweight Champion) Lorenzo Hunt, but on April 12, it was announced that Hunt withdrew from the fight and was replaced by Andrea Bicchi.
