The champion of the half-light weight Islam Omarov dropped out of the fight with Alikhan Suleymanov at ACA 184 due to injury.
“It is with great disappointment to announce that the title battle between Islam Omarov and Alikhan Suleymanov at ASA 184 has been canceled. The champion was injured and withdrew from the fight.
The upcoming tournament lost 3 title fights out of 4 declared. Unfortunately, injuries are inevitable at a level where athletes are laid out in training on the verge of human capabilities. But we will think about solving this problem in order to reduce the percentage of fighting in the future. All three champions who dropped out from the upcoming defenses at the ACA 184 did have serious injuries. But it often happens that the fighters are removed from fights due to minor reasons, whether it is a small injury, a mild cold or a fever. We will fight that. And we wish the champions a speedy recovery and return to the cage in their best conditions. "- said the president of the ACA League Magomed Bibulatov.
