A ONE Featherweight World Championship bout between current champion Tang Kai and Akbar Abdullaev is expected to headline the event.
An interim ONE Women's Atomweight World Championship bout between Denice Zamboanga and Alyona Rassohyna is expected to serve as the co-main event. The pair was previously to meet at ONE Fight Night 25, but Zamboanga withdrawn from the bout due to a hamstring injury.
In the headline attraction, ONE Featherweight MMA World Champion Tang Kai defends his belt for the second time against #5-ranked divisional contender Akbar Abdullaev.
Tang, China’s first male MMA World Champion, has remained undefeated in ONE Championship, scoring eight victories against the division’s toughest fighters. Now he’s looking to continue his reign of terror against a man who many believe will be the most dangerous opponent he has ever faced.
Abdullaev boasts a professional MMA record of 11-0 with a 100 percent finishing rate. The Kyrgyzstan warrior’s sole purpose since joining ONE has been to capture 26 pounds of gold. So far he’s right on schedule, blazing through three fearless featherweights en route to his shot at greatness.
In the co-main event, #2-ranked contender Denice Zamboanga meets #4-ranked Alyona Rassohyna for the ONE Interim Women’s Atomweight MMA World Title.
Zamboanga has been on the hunt for the strap since joining ONE in 2019, but a series of mishaps and injuries delayed her conquest. Now ready to execute her vision, she’ll have to overcome Rassohyna, the first woman to hand divisional queen Stamp Fairtex a loss in MMA.
