On September 14, KSW shall return to Lubin for the second time in its history.
XTB KSW 98 will take place at the RCS arena designed for sports and entertainment. In the fight of the night, we shall see a clash of two spectacular middleweight fighters.
Known for knocking out his opponents Michał Michalski (12-5, 7 KO, 1 Sub) shall face Laïd Zerhouni (13-8, 1NC, 4 KO, 8 sub) who managed to finish his opponents in almost all of his victories.
In the co-main event, Madars Fleminas (13-5, 7 KO, 1 Sub) from Latvia, the number two of the welterweight division, shall face the undefeated Wiktor Zalewski ranked as number six who put most of his opponents on the canvass.
Michał Michalski has fought nine times for KSW and he is currently riding a three win streak. The popular “Sugar” had his last performance at XTB KSW 94 when he knocked out Bartosz Leśko as early as in the first round. Before that, he quickly finished Erikas Golubovskis and then defeated Dominik Humburger in an exciting bout which was named the fight of the night. Michalski is known for his spectacular style. In his career, he concluded eight out of his twelve victories with a finish. Seven times he won in the first round and he put seven of his opponents on the canvass. Michalski is ranked as number five of the KSW middleweight division.
Laïd Zerhouni joined KSW with a bang. At XTB KSW 90, he instantly knocked out Bartosz Fabiński in the twelfth second of the fight. In his second bout which took place in Paris he submitted Boubacar Niakaté also in the first round. The fighter from Algeria has 21 fights under his belt and he won 13 of them. He managed to finish 12 of his opponents and ten times he did so in the first round. Zerhouni is a versatile fighter capable of both submitting and knocking out his opponents. His accolades include the middleweight title belt of the French Hexagone MMA organization. Om KSW, he is ranked as number six in KSW.
Madars Fleminas returns to KSW after a spectacular win over Artur Szczepaniak whom he knocked out at the event in Paris, thus winning a bonus. The popular “Latvian Express” usually wins by knocking out his opponents. So far, he put seven of his opponents on the canvass and submitted one of them. Fleminas took part in eighteen fights and he came out victorious thirteen times. Before he joined KSW, almost all of his professional bouts took place in England. Most of them were held by Cage Warriors. Fighting for this organization, he knocked out Daniel Skibiński among others.
Wiktor Zalewski has been going through the world of professional MMA like a bomb. So far, he took part in seven fights and won all of them. He put six of his opponents on the canvass and four times he did so as early as in the first round. The undefeated 24-year-old fought free times in KSW. First, he defeated Robert Maciejowski and then knocked out Kacper Koziorzębski as well as Adrian Zieliński. Before joining KSW, Zalewski fought four times knocking out each of his opponents and finishing three of them in the first round. Before going pro, he took part in some amateur competitions. Among others, his accolades include the vice-championship of Polish Amateur MMA League and the national championship of ADCC 2021.
