Background
Bare Knuckle Fighting Championship, the world's fastest growing combat sports promotion, rolls into Sturgis, SD this week with BKFC 63 on August 2.
Saturday’s Main Event is one of the most anticipated women’s bouts in BKFC history as Britain Hart defends her BKFC World Women’s Strawweight Championship for the third time against Taylor “Killa Bee” Starling. Hart and Starling are two of the most popular and accomplished fan-favorite fighters in the world of bare knuckle. No female fighter has stepped into the BKFC Squared Circle more than Hart, who at 8-3 is tied with Christine Ferea for most victories all time among female fighters. The hard-hitting Starling, meanwhile, is 4-2 and hungry to violently transition from contender to champ in the fully loaded BKFC women’s strawweight division.
Fireworks are guaranteed from top to bottom at BKFC’s hotly anticipated debut in South Dakota on Saturday. Don’t blink during the must-see heavyweight Co-Main Event showdown between Josh “The Hammer” Burns and Sam “Hillbilly Hammer” Shewmaker. Saturday’s Feature Fight pits Josh “D-Day” Dyer, the No. 2 contender in the BKFC light-heavyweight division, against the hard-charging William “Wild Bill” Albrecht.
BKFC 63 features a full slate of fights that are guaranteed bangers, like the cruiserweight battle between Bryant "Defiant" Acheson and Joseph "Dark Knight" Creer, the bantamweight showdown between Robert "El Gallo Negro" Armas and Jack Grady, and the highly anticipated heavyweight matchup between Ruben "Bam" Roundstone and Josh Watson, to name just a few.
A number of fast-rising contenders are ready to take center stage Saturday, like heavyweight Zach “Shark Attack” Calmus and bantamweight Michael “Papa G” Larrimore, who are hunting for their fourth straight and third straight victories, respectively.
The event is expected to be headlined by a BKFC Women's Strawweight Championship bout between current champion Britain Hart against Taylor Starling.
A Light Heavyweight bout between Joe Riggs and Joseph Creer was scheduled for this event. However, the bout was removed for unknown reasons.
