Background

Six fighters ranked in the Top 5 of their respective weight classes – including the Pound-for-Pound King Luis “Baboon” Palomino – return to action at BKFC 57 on Friday at Seminole Hard Rock Hotel & Casino in Hollywood, FL.

x Luis “Baboon” Palomino is the BKFC World Lightweight Champion and the only fighter to ever hold the top spot on the BKFC Pound-for-Pound rankings. Palomino is undefeated in his first nine trips to the Squared Circle – the only fighter in BKFC history to accomplish that feat. The Peruvian-born Miami fighter holds notable wins over Elvin Brito (twice), James Lilley, Dat Nguyen and Tom Shoaff. He’s hunting for his fourth stoppage against former World Boxing Association champion Austin “No Doubt” Trout (1-0, 1 KO) in their showdown for the vacant BKFC World Welterweight Championship in Friday’s Main Event.

x Louie “El Loco” Lopez is the No. 1 contender in the BKFC featherweight division. Lopez is 3-2 in the Squared Circle, with all of his wins coming by stoppage. The Great Falls, MT product holds a notable victory over Howard Davis. In Lopez’s most recent fight he went five hard rounds with Kai Stewart for the inaugural BKFC World Featherweight Championship. He takes on Bryan “El Gallo” Duran (5-0, 5 KOs).

x “Royal” Ryan Reber is the No. 3 contender in the BKFC bantamweight division. Reber climbed to 4-0 with a thrilling, sixth-round overtime victory over Travis Thompson, the No. 4 contender in the division, in his most recent outing. The St. Petersburg, FL fighter’s other three wins came by stoppage. Reber takes on Derek Perez (2-1, 1 KO).

x Matt "Rambo" Russo is the No. 3 contender in the BKFC men's flyweight division. He is 2-0 in the Squared Circle, with both of the Broward County, FL fighter’s wins coming by first-round stoppage. He takes on the debuting Justin “The Nightmare” Street.

x Bryce “Baby Yaga” Henry is the No. 4 contender in the BKFC lightweight division. The unbeaten Broward County, FL product is undefeated in his first three BKFC fights, with all of his victories coming by stoppage. He holds notable wins over Shoaff, Billy Wagner and Brandon Shavers. He’s also 6-0 with four KOs as a professional gloved boxer. He takes on UFC vet Robbie “Problems” Peralta (3-0) in Friday’s Co-Main Event.

x Christine Vicens is the No. 4 contender in the BKFC women’s flyweight division. The Miami fighter is unbeaten in the Squared Circle after back-to-back victories over Jade Masson-Wong and UFC vet Jocelyn Jones-Lybarger. She meets Sydney “Sundance” Smith (1-1).
