Background
The most highly anticipated fight in Bare Knuckle Fighting Championship history goes down at BKFC 56 on Saturday, Dec. 2 as “Platinum” Mike Perry (3-0) takes on Eddie “The Underground King” Alvarez (1-0) for the King of Violence Championship belt. Don’t blink as two fighting legends square off in the Squared Circle, LIVE on The BKFC App. Before the big night, which features three other BKFC World Championship bouts, we asked some of BKFC’s most knowledgeable stars for their predictions.
Chancey “Superfly” Wilson: I’m a fan of Perry and Eddie; all I hope is for them to beat the (expletive) out of each other and entertain us all around the world.
Jared “Captain Deadpool” Warren: I think Perry will take it by decision. I don’t think he’ll knock out Alvarez, and I don’t think Alvarez will knock him out either. It’s tough to predict this one, because most of Perry’s fights have been very close, and Alvarez’s one fight has been very close too. With Perry having more experience and naturally being a bit bigger, I think he takes the decision.
“Caution” Kasim Ruffin: Mike for the win. He has a natural size advantage, he’s closer to his prime, and has more bare knuckle experience.
JR “The Lion” Ridge: Sheesh is all I can say for this fight. Very exciting matchup. It’s stylistically intriguing with Mike Perry walking you down with bricks for hands and a jaw of metal, and Eddie Alvarez is very skillful putting combos together. I’m going to have to go with Perry on this one. If Eddie can stick and move and cut Perry early, it would be best. But don’t think Eddie will be in good enough shape to withstand the forward pressure. Perry by unanimous decision.
Michael “Papa G” Larrimore: I see Mike Perry going a minimum of three rounds with at least one knockdown a piece going into the third, when Mike takes over to get the finish. If he wins, he needs to fight Dave Mundell and nobody else.
Blake “Big Boy” LaCaze: Perry has fun with war, whereas Alvarez is a quick striker. In bare knuckle it’s about who lands that first hard shot. I pick Eddie to pull off the upset in what will be a very entertaining fight.
Zach “Shark Attack” Calmus: I’ve got “Platinum” Mike Perry winning it in the third round.
James “Get Down” Brown: Bare knuckle fighting was literally made for Mike Perry, and I don’t see Eddie Alvarez finishing him. But I also don’t see Perry finishing the tough Alvarez. Perry by UD.
