Anderson "Astro de Maldade" from Sergipe is preparing for another challenge at Jungle Fight, this time for the welterweight belt (up to 77.1kg).
On October 28th, he faces Vanderlei "Soul Glo", in the 121st edition of the biggest MMA event in Latin America, which takes place in São Paulo. The São Paulo native is the former champion of the category.
The Sergipe native won the opportunity to fight for the welterweight belt with his victory over Júnior Melo from Ceará, at Jungle Fight 118, held in Aracaju.
Astro da Maldade already has three fights in Jungle Fight, with three victories. Now, he will try to be another Sergipe native to reach the belt in the biggest MMA event in Latin America. His fellow countryman, William Colorado, is the only one with three titles in the event, the last of which was won in Aracaju.
In the co-main event Brena Cardozo will take on Layze Cerqueira for the women's Flyweight belt.
