Background
With an impressive first-round knockout at Eternal 76, the new LW champion, Quillan Salkilld, will make his first defense. Next in line was the former 2x Eternal LW champion, David Martinez; however, due to an injury, Martinez will be out for the remainder of 2023. Exhausting all options in Australia and New Zealand, with no domestic fighters willing to take the fight and Salkilld looking to stay active, Eternal matchmakers went abroad. Entering the scene is Tiger Muay Thai's Brett "The American Nomad" Pastore. The 28-year-old New Jersey native brings a record of 3-1 with international experience to the table, making claims to book a return trip to Australia in February to defend his new belt.
Stand up, Perth! With the recent UFC signing of Perth's Stephen "AstroBoy" Erceg, the Eternal flyweight championship will be contested between two more Perth locals, Anthony Drilich (5-1) and Frank Jankowski (3-0). Right at the HBF Stadium, where Erceg officially got signed at Eternal 73 in February, Drilich and Jankowski will put it all on the line in front of 2,500 fans. Whatever happens on October 28, rest assured that these two flyweights will give their all once that cage door closes.
After an entertaining and gritty display of disciplined striking and defensive grappling at Eternal 76 and a win over John Brewin, Perth's Wes Capper is back for his sophomore fight on Eternal. Capper's second appearance in the Eternal cage will be against Mongolia's Burenzorig Batmunkh. From a nation synonymous with fighting, "The Warrior's Descendant," Batmunkh, is no stranger to combat, having fought in MMA, kickboxing and boxing like Capper. With a three-fight win streak, Batmunkh brings a wealth of experience, having fought against names like Michel Pereira, Rodrigo Caporal, and Tetsuya Yamada, in contrast to Capper's also highly credible combat experience.
Eternal fans and fight enthusiasts around the world are in for a treat on October 28.
