It’s fight week in Cardiff! Cage Warriors returns to the Welsh capital for the first time since 2019 with a stacked night of mixed martial arts action!
It seems as though the return of ‘The Dragon’ has sent his fellow lightweights scattering, with few volunteers to face Mason Jones on home soil.
As such, CW officials last week made the decision to move the former simultaneous two-weight champion to an alternative card later in their summer schedule.
As a result, a middleweight bout between former CW champion Matt ‘The Beast’ Bonner and fifteen-fight UFC veteran Darren ‘The Dentist’ Stewart will now headline CW 156: Cardiff.
Both men enter the contest on the back of consecutive wins, knowing that a third will almost certainly put them in title contention at 185lbs.
Also at the top of the card, Scotland’s Reece McEwan has been training with top Welsh outfit Shore MMA, home of former CW champion and current UFC star Jack ‘Tank’ Shore, ahead of his bout with Leonardo de Oliveira.
