Background
The Explanada Theater in Puebla , will receive one of the most important Combat Sports events on the continent this Friday June 30.
In the stellar fight, José Roura and "Fito" Rubio go for the bantamweight belt in a highly anticipated clash. Although that matchup will surely be the big draw of the day, there is no doubt that we will also be seeing many other fights with important things at stake for the future of various divisions.
The bantamweight division has been, almost always, one of the great emblems of LUX Fight League and, in this case, it is no exception. José Roura (6-3-0) and “Fito” Rubio (19-12-1) will meet above the cage to see who continues the legacy of Diego Lópes. Both come on a winning streak and represent two different styles: the youth and the great jiu jitsu of Roura -trained in Brazilian Warriors- against the experience and dangerous striking of former UFC, Rubio . It will be a duel to rent balconies.
Also on the card, Francesco Patrón goes in search of recovery against debutant Luis Meraz. After his huge nine-game winning streak, it looked like no one was going to be able to "time" Francesco Patrón (9-1-0) . However, the Argentine Emmanuel Rivero beat him in LUX 030 and took away his perfect record. Now, at just 23 years old, Patrón must prove that he can take the blow and, to do so, he needs to overcome the tough hurdle posed by LUX rookie and former WBC champion Luis Meraz (7-2-0).
