Background
In the highly anticipated Main Event, former BKFC World Bantamweight Champion Dat “Dat Be Dat” Nguyen (3-1, 1 KO) welcomes former Bellator MMA Champion Daniel Straus (debut) to the BKFC Squared Circle for the first time. Nguyen has established himself as one of bare knuckle fighting’s fiercest and most fan-friendly competitors, but he hasn’t fought in 16 months due to personal reasons. Straus’ celebrated MMA resume includes 18 bouts under the Bellator banner and 11 victories by stoppage. Will Nguyen get the win, or will Straus be the latest MMA transplant to enjoy a smashing BKFC debut? The stakes are high for this high-profile matchup in the wide-open BKFC featherweight division.
In the Co-Main Event, Jake “Brutal” Bostwick (2-2, 1 KO) and Isaac “The Honey Badger” Doolittle (3-1) meet in a hotly anticipated middleweight matchup. Bostwick is riding high after notching his first BKFC victory – a KO over UFC vet Chris Fishgold at BKFC 27 in his native United Kingdom. Doolittle returns to the BKFC Squared Circle for the first time since his loss to Mike Richman in their battle for the Interim BKFC World Light-Heavyweight Championship at BKFC 31 in October. These two hard-nosed fighters are hungry to make a statement and kick off 2023 with a big win in Florida.
Fans are fired all the way up for the final two bouts of Friday’s offering from Delray Beach, but the entire event is loaded with can’t-miss fights.
In the Feature Fight of the night, No. 2-ranked BKFC flyweight contender Tyler Randall (2-1) meets Chancey “Superfly” Wilson (2-2) in a highly anticipated matchup at 125 pounds. Earlier on the card, former BKFC World Middleweight Champion Francesco Ricchi (6-1, 5 KOs) looks return to the win column against heavy-handed Erick “El Travieso” Lozano, (0-1) whose 35-fight MMA career includes 12 wins by KO. Steve "Tomahawk" Townsel (2-2, 2 KOs) and Chris “Golden Gloves” Sarro (2-3, 2 KOs) are both hoping the third time’s a charm as these two hard-nosed cruiserweights have twice had fights fall through, and No. 4-ranked BKFC featherweight contender Howard “HD” Davis (2-1-1) meets Trevor “Monster” Martin (debut). Cuba's Freddy Masabo (2-0, 2 KOs) and Ukraine's Bovar "The Gladiator" Khanakov (1-0) lock horns in an intercontinental featherweight scrap.
