Background
A Featherweight World Grand Prix is planned to be held during the event, featuring Jawsuayai Sor.Dechaphan, Shuhei Kumura, Taito Gunji, Facu Suarez, Tatsuya Tsubakihara, Toma Tanabe, Takahito Niimi and Wang Junguang.
Yoko Kumada will join the Japanese commenting team. Ms. Kumada has commentary experience with Krush in the past, and this will be her first time commenting on the K-1.
The K-1 AWARDS will be held at this event, an annual award ceremony for all professional events (K-1 / Krush) and K-1 amateur tournaments held by K-1 JAPAN GROUP and participating players. Best player selected by fans ( MVP), best match (best bout), and best KO will be decided by general fan voting.
After "THE MATCH" concluded earlier this year now "K-1 NEXT", the next installment, will continue from Fukuoka in August until Yokohama in September and Osaka in December.
