Strikeforce returns to Washington state on June 19 for a new installment of its "Strikeforce Challenger" series.
The SHO MMA event takes place at the ShoWare Center and airs on Showtime at 11 p.m. ET/PT.
Among those confirmed for the event include recent UFC lightweight and Strikeforce newcomer Jorge Gurgel (12-5), UFC and Strikeforce vet Dennis Hallman (40-12-2) and Strikeforce prospect Cory Devela (9-2).
No opponents have been named for the fighters, though Gurgel is expected to fight EliteXC vet and recent "Bully Beatdown" competitor Conor Heun (8-2) in a televised main-card bout.
Although not officially announced, the event is also expected to feature a bout between rising prospect Lyle "Fancy Pants" Beerbohm (9-0) and Duane "Bang" Ludwig (18-8).
The ShoWare center, a 6,500-seat arena home to the Western Hockey League's Seattle Thunderbirds, is located in Kent, Wash., near Seattle.
Strikeforce made its Washington debut in February 2008 for "Strikeforce: At the Dome," which was held at the Tacoma Dome in Tacoma. The event set Washington state's combat-sports (MMA, boxing and kickboxing) record with a live gate of more than $500,000.
Tickets for the June 19 event, which start at just $32, go on sale this Friday at 1 p.m. ET (10 a.m. PT).
The show goes head-to-head with Bellator's season finale in Florida (though it won't air on ESPN Deportes until the following day), and it takes place the day before The Ultimate Fighter 9 Finale takes place in Las Vegas and airs live on Spike TV.
