Battlefield Fight League 71: Sinagoga vs. Cameron is an upcoming mixed martial arts event scheduled for March 10, 2022 at the Harbour Convention Centre in Vancouver, British Columbia, Canada. Fight Card Main Card (UFC Fight Pass) Dario Sinagoga vs. Kyran Cameron 155 lbs Interim Lightweight Championship Radley Da Silva vs. Mateo Vogel 145 lbs John Nguyen vs. Gagan Gill 145 lbs Jonathan Broad vs. Mike McAloon 155 lbs Bobby Poulter vs. Saeid Mirzaei 170 lbs Indroop Virk vs. Nigel Crosswell 125 lbs Ozhan Yalcin vs. Wesley Bowman 135 lbs Amateur Card Mani El-Hefnawi vs. Amin Almelik 145 lbs Featherweight Championship Matt Lepper vs. Damon Marlow 155 lbs Lightweight Championship Background Undefeated Irish fighter Dario Sinagoga (5-0) is set to compete for the Battlefield Fight League interim lightweight title next month when he faces Canadian Kyran Cameron (5-1) at BFL 71 on Thursday 17th February. Severe MMA confirmed the matchup with multiple sources. Sinagoga—who dons both Irish and Italian flags in the cage—previously trained out of Legends MMA in Bray, but has since relocated to Vancouver, Canada, where he trains out of Diaz Combat Sports. Having won an amateur title under the BFL promotional banner in 2018, Sinagoga turned pro the following year. While the expatriate may be flying under the radar in Irish MMA, Sinagoga has quietly amassed an unblemished 5-0 record, most notably notching a 1st-round KO over then 9-3 fighter Craig Shintani at BFL 66 last March. On that same BFL 66 card, lightweight champion Achilles Estremadura successfully defended his title for the 4th consecutive time with a 1st-round KO of his own over Curtis Demarce. The performance earned Estremadura a spot on Dana White’s Contender Series in November 2021. Though Estremadura came up short on the judges’ scorecards, he may get another crack on the next series, leaving the title picture unclear for Battlefield Fight League. As such, Sinagoga will face Kyran Cameron for the interim strap. After turning pro in 2018, Cameron put his finishing ability on full display over the course of his first five fights, finishing all but one as he (like Sinagoga) amassed an unblemished 5-0 record. However, in his last outing, Cameron suffered the first defeat of his pro career to date when he lost Dejan Kajić in the first round of their BFL welterweight championship contest. Fighting at 170lbs throughout his pro run, Cameron now drops to 155lbs to challenge Sinagoga for the interim lightweight crown. |
