Background

Xtreme Fight Night (XFN) is proud to announce the promotion’s return to the Cove at River Spirit Casino Resort in Tulsa Friday February 4. XFN 378 will feature heavyweight kickboxing champion Haze Wilson in a four-man championship tournament against some of the heaviest-hitters in the sport.

“We are thrilled to begin our fifth year as a UFC broadcast partner and look forward to returning to the beautiful River Spirit Casino property, and we’re bringing an absolutely fantastic fight card to the venue once again,” XFN President Dale Cook said. “We look forward to showcasing the best professional kickboxers in the country as well as the up and coming MMA prospects from the OSU wrestling team.”

The Tulsa native Haze “The Hooligan” Wilson will be joined in the four-man heavyweight kickboxing tournament by three “giants”: Delvin Nichols 6’8” 250 pounds from Dallas, TX; Darion Abbey 6’6” 235 pounds Ft Lauderdale, FL; Anthony Garrett 6’5” 255 pounds Kansas City, KS. To remain champion, Wilson will need to win two fights in one night.

The co-main event is a welterweight kickboxing showdown between reigning champion Lorawnt “Smash” Nelson (10-2) and number one contender AJ Weathersby (9-2). Former OSU Cowboy wrestling All-American Jacobe Smith battles Bellator MMA veteran Will Florentino in the Mixed Martial Arts headliner.

Jacobe Smith (1-0), now training under the tutelage of UFC heavyweight champion and fellow OSU alum Daniel Cormier, is making a huge step in only his second time in the XFN cage as he battles 10 fight MMA veteran Florentino (5-5). A win on the worldwide stage on UFC Fight Pass would proof that he is truly a legitimate prospect with a future in the big league of Mixed Martial Arts.

Former UFC heavyweight champion Frank Mir will be cageside to call the action and meet the Tulsa fight fans as he begins his fifth year as the voice of XFN.

Also features XFN MMA stars Josh Anderson, Tracy Reeder, and unbeaten Jimi Natividad.
