Background

Cage Fury Fighting Championships (CFFC) officials are excited to announce a special late addition to the organization's upcoming CFFC 140 event, as former Bellator MMA champion Yaroslav "Dynamo" Amosov takes on longtime big-show veteran "Curtious" Curtis Millender in a three-round special attraction.

Both Amosov (27-1) and Millender (21-10) make their promotional debuts in the 183-pound catchweight contest, which streams live on UFC FIGHT PASS on Friday, March 14, from Philadelphia's 2300 Arena.

"Our goal at CFFC is to help identify the best talent in the world and give them a platform to develop and prove their readiness for the UFC," CFFC CEO Rob Haydak said. "Both Yaroslav and Curtis have already performed at the sport's highest level and are clearly world-class talents. They were initially planning on facing each other on March 14 under a different banner, but we were presented with a very unique opportunity to bring that matchup to CFFC 140, instead, and it was an easy decision for us to make.

"This is an absolutely spectacular addition to our card and will give CFFC fans a chance to watch two of the best in the world as they target a return to the international stage."

Amosov claimed the Bellator MMA welterweight title in 2021 with a decision win over then-champ Douglas Lima before registering a successful defense of the belt with a victory over interim titleholder Logan Storley, who earned that status when the undisputed Ukrainian champion was forced to step aside to help serve in his country's defense in an ongoing conflict with Russia. Amosov, who had amassed an astounding 27-0 record to that point, returned to the cage nine months later and suffered a shocking loss to Jason Jackson.

Amosov had hoped for an immediate rematch with Jackson but did not compete again for Bellator following the promotion's acquisition by the Professional Fighters League before becoming a free agent in late 2024.

Meanwhile, Millender has long been a fixture at the highest levels of the sport, including a five-fight stint for the UFC that included octagon wins over Thiago Alves, Max Griffin and Siyar Bahadurzada. His contract ended following a decision loss to current UFC welterweight champion Belal Muhammad, and Millender subsequently moved first to Bellator, and then the PFL. More recently, he's tried his hand at boxing, as well as bareknuckle MMA.

Always willing to take on the toughest challenges available, Millender's 12-year professional career also includes tussles with MMA notables such as Elizeu Zaleski dos Santos, Ryan Ford, Jared Gooden, Sabah Homasi, Kevin Holland, Rory MacDonald, Magomed Magomedkerimov, Alexander Shlemenko and Brennan Ward, among others.

In addition to the Amosov vs. Millender special attraction, the CFFC 140 lineup also features an additional new championship matchup, as both Robert Varricchio and Angel Alvarez were forced to withdraw from a planned contest for the promotion’s vacant lightweight title. Instead, two-time Bellator MMA veteran Jesse Roberts (8-1) and undefeated Armenian prospect Omar Rzgoev (4-0) have each stepped up on short notice and will now face off with the 155-pound belt on the line.
