UWC 37 show to be held on Friday, August 26 at the Entram Gym facilities, in
Tijuana, Baja California.
It is the second turn for the fighter from San Cristóbal de las Casas, Chiapas, in the
famous Ultimate Warrior Challenge Mexico (UWC) cage, now in a fight agreed at
165-pound catchweight.
“He is a strong rival, who, like all rivals, I respect for the fact of being in the
same place as me, I know what his virtues are but also his common mistakes, I will be ready
for what he proposes.
"The public should know that we come from the farthest corner of the country to make history,
to leave a mark, to have a legacy, it is the second time that we are going to Tijuana and this time there will be no
doubt, we are going to win," said Granados.
The member of Nova Geraçao was at UWC 29, on October 1, 2021,
when he faced Leonardo “Blastrigger” Blasco (16-5-0), where he came out with a technical knockout loss
against the Venezuelan.
Since then, in Chiapas with more than a dozen years of experience in
Mixed Martial Arts (MMA), he has added a couple of victories in the center of the country to
return to UWC with greater force.
The Brazilian jiu jitsu brown belt, and former FFC Welterweight champion, will try to overshadow the
power of Sánchez (12-3-0) with his experience on the canvas, since he has three submissions in his
favor and six other decisions.
“This road has been a great adventure that would not change any chapter, all my
fights are special, every day is special since I always learn from them, the most
special thing is doing what I am passionate about day by day.
"There are sacrifices, mainly my family, my wife, my children, how any
camp is to focus on the camp as such, but the only and good thing about this is that
we are always together and my wife is also my corner," he said.
Granados (11-8-0) hopes to stop the native of San Luis Río Colorado, Sonora, and make
it clear why he is one of the main fighters in the south of the country and a risk for anyone who
gets in his way.
