Tim Means will be unable to compete at UFC on Fox 5 after taking a spill during his weight cut, UFC President Dana White recently announced.

“The UFC curse strikes again,” White wrote Friday on Twitter. “Tim Means slips in sauna and KO's himself, so now Marcus LeVesseur vs. Abel Trujillo.”

UFC on Fox 5 takes place tomorrow at Seattle’s Key Arena, and the pre-fight weigh-ins begin in a matter of hours. Saturday night’s main draw airs live on Fox’s flagship network, while the prelims are broadcast immediately prior on FX. Benson Henderson will put his lightweight title on the line against “Ultimate Fighter 5” winner Nate Diaz in the evening’s main event, while the co-headliner features former champion Mauricio Rua taking on Swedish prospect Alexander Gustafsson in a pivotal light heavyweight showdown.

Known as “The Dirty Bird,” Means has not lost since March 2010, posting a record of 10-0-1 in his last 11 contests. The New Mexican made his Octagon debut this past February, outpointing Bernardo Magalhaes before wrecking Justin Salas in just 66 seconds four months later at UFC on FX 3.

A four-time NCAA Division III national champion wrestler, LeVesseur, 29, has won four of his last five. “The Prospect” saw a three-fight winning streak snapped in his UFC foray, submitting to Cody McKenzie’s patented guillotine choke this past May at UFC on Fuel TV 3. However, LeVesseur responded with a victory in his most recent outing, taking a split decision from onetime WEC welterweight title challenger Carlo Prater at UFC on FX 5.

Trujillo rides a four-fight winning streak into his Octagon debut, posting a trio of victories in 2012 to earn a shot in the big show. “Killa” was last seen on June 30, when he picked up a unanimous decision victory over Bellator vet Frank Carrillo under Florida’s Championship Fighting Alliance banner.
