Damn, did anyone else find this show painfully boring? We all know that Fedor isn't much for exciting footage outside the ring, but even Rogers' segments were pointless. This fight clearly has no meaningful context in the MMA landscape, so I guess they did what they thought was best with the footage they could get. The "highlights":

We have several minutes of Brett Rogers getting a haircut. This tops my list for the least interesting thing ever, second only to someone telling me about a dream they had. I was waiting for the footage of him clipping his toenails and playing with a dog for an hour.

Rogers returning to "where it all started"...SAM'S CLUB?!?! This was super awkward and it was clear that none of the guys working there knew who he was. Considering the turnover in a place like that, I doubt that anyone he worked with is still there. Besides that, it really isn't that bad a job in the grand scheme of things, especially if you're trying to sell the "came up through hard times" angle. Since Rogers and his wife supposedly came up in a rough area as kids you'd think they could find more meaningful locations for the background footage. How about a drive through the old neighborhood set to the theme from The Wire?

The fact that Fedor's spiritual adviser is Rasputin could have been explored a little more.

The show is obviously taking cues from the HBO 24/7 features, which is a good thing if you have the content to make it interesting. Any chance to see a little training footage of Fedor is a good thing, but here's hoping that next time it's more compelling.
