It is being reported that Paul Daley has signed with K-1 Global, where he will compete in the 80kg division.
After weeks of cryptic messages on his Facebook fanpage, Paul Daley appears to have signed with K-1 Global, where he will compete in their 80kg weight division.
The news was first reported by liverkick.com.
"Semtex" will make his debut at the K-1 World MAX Finals in July. The event, which takes place in Thailand, is headlined by a tournament final between two-time K-1 World MAX Champion Buakaw Banchamek and Enriko Kehl.
Daley is better known as an MMA fighter who amassed a 34-14-2 record over 11 years, including a stint in the UFC's welterweight division. Daley also holds a 17-3 kickboxing record, including three TKO wins so far in 2014. He recently fought on the Legend 3: Pour Homme fight card in Milan, Italy, where he TKOed Alexander Surzhko in the third round.
It is interesting to note that Daley had recently mentioned that he is still interested in returning to the UFC, but does not mind simply "collecting nice belts."
"A return to the UFC would be great, but generally I just want to fight the best people I can, and collect nice belts."
The Briton's next kickboxing match is scheduled to take place on April 25th, where he will meet Miran Fabjan at FFC12 in Slovakia.
