Hey people,
I wonder if some of you use training dummies as a tool to sharpen your takedown submission skills?
I'm back at my parents house for half a year, and have job in the evenings + we have quite a piece of grass in the garden
so what I have in mind is buying a training dummy to train allot of no-gi judo throws and subs, and all kinds of stuff.
but I wonder what kind of dummy I should buy, there are the:
-traditional +-40kg wrestling dummies
-speed dummy
http://www.suples.com/speed-dummies/-the jiu jitsu dummy,
http://www.grapplingdummy.net/ or the bubba variation
http://www.bubbadummy.com/html/video_demonstration.htmlspeed dummy allows for more reps, but perhaps you sucseed to easily, cause of the leightweighness of it, and it has no legs, so no guard play.
jiu jitsu dummy can''t be used for throws I guess, as it doesn't seem able to stand upright.
bubba seems at least capable of stretching its legs and arms, but has it the stiffness to stand upright, while leaning only with the upper body
+ how durable is it, when you kata-guruma/uchi mata/slamm it 100 times a day
traditonal may hurt my lower back a bit more, but seems to be the most all around training tool.
I want to make a well thought choice as they cost at least €500.- a piece
I'm the kind of guy that wants to smash it around for more than an hour every day, the whole summer.
so basicly any kind of personal experience or idea or comment, or valuable link is warmly welcomed.
Thanks allot in advance
