Post subject:  help seeding utorrent Error: the system cannot find the file

whenever i download a torrent that does not have a folder in it , after about 1 minute of seeding i get Error: the system can not find the file specified
i have tried deleting the torrent from utorrent and redownloading it..it pass' the check to 100% and starts seeding, but after a minute i get the same error
i only get this error from this site ,and only when the torrent does'nt contain a folder

any help how to solve this problem ...thanks in advance

Hi mate, I dont think it has to do with our site, if it was we would have heard a lot of complaints about it and this is the first time I hear it. What it does sound like is a signal of a tired harddrive. Its also something that can happen when you try to seed same torrent on more then one tracker, but not always. I would recommend a defrag of the harddrive but its just a suggestion.

If anyone else has this problem please tell me.

if it was a tired hdd the download would fail before it was done and i wouldnt be able to watch and move the file
i would also get a I/O write error on the windows side
i download and seed a lot of torrents from a few different sites and this is the only one that i continually get this error from

p.s. i defreag regularly

I dont doubt that what you say is true. And I always take all reported problems seriously trust me.
But let me put it this way.
Members We Have: 6,639 Members. Members Visited Today: 1,063.
If only 1 of 1000 complains about a problem I assume the problem is a local problem of that persons computer.
If, on the other hand a lot of people, or even a few, where reporting the same problem I would defenitely start looking for problems on our side.
As I myself also download and watch things here, many single file movie files too, and never have this problem, and as noone else reported it I will continue to suggest that it is some problem on your side, Im sorry.
I hope you understand my logic.

It would also be helpful if you could give some details about how often this has happend and on what files.

Please if anyone else has experienced this problem. Tell us!

Ps. From your screenshot I see (as you also pointed out) that you are using a beta version of µtorrent. Not that it means that is the problem, but when using beta versions you can expect bugs and errors. But Im sure you know this.

thanks for the reply ,and you're right its not a problem with this site
i figured it out and it only happens with single file torrents that have no folder ,and when i use the force start option with to force seed

putting the file in a folder would solve the problem ,but seeing as im the only one with this problem ,and it seems to be utorrents fault i would'nt expect you to change things...i will just have to seed these torrents nornmally
edit actually normal seed just got the error when a leacher tried to connect ,so i'd say that this is probably a beta problem ...time to switch clients
