Hello

Forwarding ports on a wireless network is slightly more complicated then opening ports normally, but not too hard.

You should forward the ports in your wireless router, not the modem.

What you need to keep in mind is that you need to get your computers internal IP and make sure you forward them to that internal IP and correct port.

Its really easy to follow Portforward.com's guide for opening ports if your router is in their list.

http://portforward.com/english/routers/ ... rindex.htm

Choose your router, then choose your program (utorrent) remember to skip the add for the automatic portforwarder they display sometimes and go to next page.

If you cant get it to work get back to me and I will help you step by step.

Just a small addition to the good explanation Dent already provided...When you have several computers you will also have several Internal IP's (Internal IP mostly starts with 192.168.), it might sound logical but of course when you forward a port to use a program like utorrent you need to use the Internal IP of the PC that will be running that program. Also if you have a software based firewall it might block connections, so this is also something you might need to check.

Last but not least when you forwarded a port you can use this link here to do a small test to see if your port is really open. The IP given is your external IP.

Good luck :)

Probably just as easy to use our own portchecker though... its on your account page.
