Bellator 125 is scheduled to be headlined by a Middleweight match between Bellator veteran Doug Marshall and Bellator newcomer Melvin Manhoef.
Brian Rogers was originally scheduled to face James Irvin on this card. However, on September 1, it was revealed that Irvin was injured and Rogers will now face Brett Cooper.
Then, on September 9, it was announced that Cooper would have to pull out of the match due to a back injury; Rogers will now face promotional newcomer Rafael Carvalho.
