Background

The main event was going to be a contest for the inaugural ONE FC Welterweight Championship between Adam Kayoom and Nobutatsu Suzuki. On November 11 2013, ONE FC officials announced that Adam Kayoom was injured, and was going to be replaced by Vitor Pinto.

ONE Fighting Championship™ (ONE FC) announced today that Welterweight title contender Adam Kayoom has suffered a broken rib in training and will be unable to compete at ONE FC: WARRIOR SPIRIT against Nobutatsu Suzuki. Undefeated brawler Vitor Pinto will now step in to face Suzuki in a non-title bout.
