Former Ultimate Fighting Championship (UFC) welterweight Che Mills was looking to jumpstart his stalled mixed martial arts (MMA) career after returning to the Cage Warriors promotion earlier this year.

Failing to make weight is probably not the best way to do it.

Mills came in over the limit for his 170-pound title fight against Cathal Pendred, and while the fight will still go on tomorrow night at The Helix in Dublin, it has now reverted to a non-championship bout and downgraded from five rounds to the standard three.

"Beautiful," who will also cough up 25 percent of his fight purse, was 2-1 with one "no contest" inside the Octagon (see why here), but was likely released by ZUFFA for putting UFC President Dana White to sleep at the UFC on FUEL TV 7 event earlier this year.

Here are the full Cage Warriors 55 weigh in results:

Main Event:

170 lbs.: Cathal Pendred (169.5) vs. Che Mills (170.7*)

Main Card:

125 lbs.: Neil Seery (124.8) vs. Mikael Silander (124.1)
190 lbs.: Chris Fields (188.7) vs. Norman Paraisy (189.3)
155 lbs.: Marc Allen (154.7) vs. Paul Redmond (155.8)
139 lbs.: Steve McCombe (139.2) vs. Jean N'Doye (140)

Facebook Prelims:

170 lbs.: Piotr Ptasinski (168.8) vs. John Redmond (170.9)
150 lbs.: Stephen Coll (148.9) vs. Liam James (147.5)

Untelevised Prelims:

185 lbs.: Sam Francis (183.8) vs. Konrad Iwanowski (184.8)
135 lbs.: Gavin Kelly (135.9) vs. Ben Rees (135.7)

*Mills initially came in at 171.2 pounds but failed to make the contracted weight within the two-hour limit; which is now a non-title bout to be contested over three rounds. Mills surrenders 25 percent of his purse to Pendred.
