With tickets going on sale tomorrow for the UFC on FUEL TV 7 event in London, a pair of English fighters look set to appear on the February card with Team Kaobon fighters Terry Etim (15-4) and Paul ‘Sassangle’ Sass (13-1).
Fighters Only confirmed the the news of Etim’s and Sass’s participation but was unable to identify opponents for each of the English fighters.
UFC on FUEL TV 7 is expected to take place on February 16, 2013 at Wembley Arena in London, England.
Etim will have been out of action for thirteen months having suffered a devastating knockout loss to Edson Barboza at UFC 142 last January. At the Brazilian event, Etim and Barboza squared off in an exciting match with both fighters keeping up a steady pace. In the third round, Barboza would land a spinning wheel kick to end things at 2:02. Both men were awarded the “Fight of the Night” bonus. Previous to that Etim earned a 17-second victory against Edward Faaloloto with a guillotine choke submission.
Sass saw his undefeated run end at thirteen this past September with a first round armbar submission loss to Matt Wiman at UFC on FUEL TV 5. The defeat put Sass’s record in the Octagon at 3-1 with two “Submission of the Night” bonuses under his belt. ‘Sassangle’ earned his last win in May of this year by submitting Jacob Volkman with a triangle/armbar combination at the UFC 146 show. Sass has also earned submission wins over Michael Johnson and Mark Holst.
