If there really is a 2012 injury jinx in mixed martial arts, it's sticking around until the bitter end.

UFC president Dana White announced via Twitter on Wednesday that Shane Carwin is out of his Dec. 15 Ultimate Fighter Finale coaches' fight in Las Vegas against Roy "Big Country" Nelson. A torn knee is the culprit.

"WOW!! It never ends Carwin blew his knee out. Looking for a new opponent for Roy on the TUF Finale on FX," White tweeted.

The injury continues a run of bad luck for Carwin, a former UFC interim heavyweight champion. A series of injuries have hampered the 37-year old Coloradan, keeping him out of action for the past year and a half. He hasn't won a fight since his quick knockout of Frank Mir on March 27, 2010.

No immediate replacement was named for Carwin for the bout at the Hard Rock Casino.

The Carwin news marks the third fight fallout of the week: Anthony Perosh had to pull out of his Dec. 14 bout with Joey Beltran due to a broken toe and was replaced by Igor Pokrajac; and a brain injury suffered in training has sidelined Eddie Yagin from his planned UFC on Fox 5 match against Dennis Siver.

I called it... https://foru.mma-torrents.com/viewtopic.php?f=13&t=5078 not that Im happy that I did that but my experience is that when they start complaining about an injury their next fight will be canceled or they wouldnt have opened the mouth in the first place...
