Strikeforce women's bantamweight champion Ronda Rousey is one of 27 athletes who will appear in ESPN the Magazine's upcoming "Body Issue."
She's also one of six athletes who will appear nude on a special cover of the magazine, ESPN officials today announced.
This is the fourth edition of the bestselling edition of the magazine, which hits newsstands July 13.
Other athletes chosen for the special covers are the NFL's Rob Gronkowski, MLB's Jose Bautista, the NBA's Tyson Chandler, the WTA's Daniela Hantuchova and the WNBA's Candace Parker.
Rousey, an Olympic bronze-medal judoka who's now undefeated in MMA, next fights in August, when she looks to defend her belt when she headlines a Strikeforce event opposite ex-champ Sarah Kaufman.
She was the lone MMA representative chosen for this year's "Body Issue." In addition to the other cover athletes, the issue features Carlos Bocanegra, Abby Wambach, Maurice Jones-Drew, Brad Richards, Maya Gabiera, Mike Smith, Tim Morehouse, Walter Dix, Danell Leyva, Suzann Pettersen, Ashton Eaton, Carmelita Jeter, Anna Tunnicliffe, Oksana Masters, Destinee Hooker, Stacy Sykora, Alisha Glass, Cynthia Barboza, Megan Hodge, Nellie Spicer and Heather Brown.
Peggy Sirota photographed all of Rousey's photos for the magazine.
"The Body Issue" features pro athletes in various states of undress (with strategic hand and equipment placement). Rousey joins Gina Carano and Jon Jones as mixed martial artists who've been featured in the always-popular edition of the magazine.
