Chael Sonnen repeatedly denied he was to face Mark Munoz next, but it turns out he was just being coy.
Fighters Only received official confirmation today that bout agreements are signed for the two to meet at the UFC on FOX event taking place on January 28th.
The fight will form the co-main event of the evening, with Rashad Evans and Phil Davis in the headline main event slot.
Coincidentally, both the main event and the co-main are contender elimination bouts, and both feature the number one contender against an underdog.
Evans and Sonnen are the lead contenders in their respective decisions but if they lose to their lower-ranked opponents they are going to see that position slip away.
The UFC will host a press conference 1 p.m. CT on Wednesday, Dec. 7 at the United Center in Chicago to discuss the fights and surrounding event.
