Post subject:  Jon Olav Einemo Back in the UFC, Bahadurzada Weighing Offer

It was only a few months ago when news started breaking that the UFC had released all contracted fighters who were members of the famed Golden Glory team in the Netherlands, including Alistair Overeem, Marloes Coenen, and Jon Olav Einemo. All sorts of rumors started flying concerning the cause of this dispute, including the UFC being unhappy with how Golden Glory management handled fighters' purses, as well as Overeem being unwilling to compete in the Strikeforce heavyweight Grand Prix semifinals in September.

Seemingly out of nowhere, a few weeks later it was revealed that the UFC had entered negotiations with Overeem and then soon after, announced that he would headline UFC 141 against Brock Lesnar. It wasn't clear at the time what would happen to the rest of the fighters that got canned, but now Golden Glory head, Bas Boon, has revealed to Fighters Only that Jon Olav Einemo has indeed been welcomed back into the UFC, and top welterweight propsect, Siyar Bahadurzada has also been offered a UFC contract:

Anticipating allegations of shady practice and wrongdoing, Boon acknowledged that "there will be a lot of rumors like in the recent past when four Golden Glory fighters were released from the UFC and Strikeforce."

"That was the so-called end of G.G relationship with the UFC [yet] not long after this, Golden Glory made a mega-deal with Alistair Overeem signing with the UFC. John Olaf Einemo is now back with the UFC and Siyar Bahadurzada just got offered a UFC contract."
In the email, Boon doesn't touch on the recent news suggesting that Overeem has left Golden Glory, but it's still encouraging to hear that the UFC was willing to re-sign the other fighters after working out their issues with Golden Glory management. The news of Bahadurzada's imminent signing is also exciting, given the Afghan welterweight prospect's six-fight winning streak, his winning of the United Glory welteweight GP, and his outspoken desire to fight in the UFC, as evidenced by this interview with MMA Junkie from May:

"If I get a chance to fight any top-10 welterweight in the UFC, I'll make him look terrible," he said.

"I'm sure if I ever get a chance with the bigger organizations like the UFC, I will fight my way to the title very fast because I'm already a top-level welterweight," Bahadurzada said. "People don't know me because I haven't had a chance to fight on a bigger stage.
