Strikeforce December 17, 2011 Venue & Location TBA Airing: Showtime & SuperChannel -Gilbert Melendez vs. Jorge Masvidal (lightweight title) -Cristiane “Cyborg” Santos vs. TBA (female featherweight title) -Gina Carano vs. TBA -Gegard Mousasi vs. TBA -Keith Jardine vs. TBA Masvidal went from loosing by the submission of the year to Imada in Bellator plus he lost to Paul Daley in Shark fights before entering SF, to a titleshot in Strikeforce after 2 fights. Hows that even possible, isnt that an unfair matchup? I am surprised Melendez accepted it, f**k I mean Masvidal lost 2/5 last fights, only won two before this fight and he gets a titleshot? I really like the kid bigtime but something is wrong here... Alright I forgot he kicked Noons ass last fight, I guess that means something of course, but didnt Diaz also beat Noons ass recently And who did Noons beat really? Gurgel lol, Edwards, guys that always loose.. he "won" over Diaz first time because of a cut but man thats not a real win its a cut. Well to be honest after all I hope Masvidal kicks Melendez ass bigtime, I like him a lot but I see it as a pretty unfair matchup considering Melendez is by some considered top a 10 fighter in the world and Masvidal has 2 fights in Strikeforce only. Give the guy a chance to feel at home before you feed him to the wolfs, or is this a way of securing Melendez place as title holder so that they can match him up against some UFC fighter? Im not counting out Masvidal at all, I do think he has a fair shot. But I still find the matchup strange. Whats your take on the whole thing? |
