UFC welterweight Rick Story is ready to fight once again.

After getting outwrestled in an upset loss to Charlie Brenneman at UFC on Versus 4, the once-fast-rising contender is aiming to fight someone who will stand and trade with him.

And he has a someone already in mind.

"Dong Hyun Kim," Story today told MMAjunkie.com (www.mmajunkie.com).

Like Story (13-4 MMA, 6-2 UFC), Kim (14-1-1 MMA, 5-1 UFC) was knocked a few rungs down the welterweight ladder in his most recent fight. The South Korean took on former WEC champ Carlos Condit at UFC 132 and was knocked out with a flying knee in the first round. The loss snapped a three-fight win streak, and on paper, an unblemished run in the UFC.

Story's loss deflated a six-fight win streak that saw him earn headliner status opposite Nate Marquardt at the recent Versus-televised event. But when Marquardt failed to gain medical clearance due to elevated levels of testosterone, Brenneman stepped in and scored an upset decision in the co-main event.

A fight against Kim is one step toward redemption for Story.

"I think it will solidify that the last fight was kind of a fluke, and it would [rebuild] some of that lost momentum," he said.

Story hopes to catch the eye of UFC matchmaker Joe Silva to book the fight. He already has a date in mind.

"I'd like to do it at UFC 139 on Nov. 19," he said.

If he's successful in getting the fight, he said fans can expect to see some sharp hands in play, and, as he puts it, "a man on a mission."
