With UFC 112 just a week from today, construction at the Concert Arena in Abu Dhabi has kicked into a break neck pace in order to have the original stadium being constructed for the event ready for it’s grand opening on April 10.

The arena is being constructed next to Ferrari world in conjuction with Flash Entertainment, and will be a no ceilings stadium.

Check out the photos recently released from the Flash Facebook account which are listed to have been taken just three days ago:

Even though the venue and all looks awesome, I dont think you'll notice it that much when its in open air if its at night time, but you never know since its still all about US Primetime at the UFC.

But anyways, ofcourse they will do some camerashots from inside the stadium to show its open air and probably do some helicopter shots as well, but during the walk-ins and fights you won't tell the difference.

I hope there is no closing roof at all, I wanna see them do it in an open/no ceiling dome/venue. I hope more UFCs get brought to them, especially if MMA is legalized in my hometown of New York. Yankees Stadium, Citi Field, Meadowlands Stadium, imagine all the people there, NY fans would love it (as long as its action packed). Then you have stadiums all over the nation, good stuff.
