Background

It’s fight week in Manchester! Cage Warriors – Europe’s Leading MMA Organisation – kicks off the UK leg of its 2024 world tour with a double-header of incredible fight nights at the BEC Arena!

First up on Friday night, it’s another edition of CW: Unplugged; a stripped back, invite only experience for a specially invited guest audience. The following night, the BEC Arena will be opened to full capacity for CW 168; a stacked card with multiple title fights and some of CW’s fastest rising stars.

Topping the bill on Friday night is a returning champion, as Stefano Paterno straps on the famous yellow gloves for the first time since 2018.

The Italian welterweight welcomes CW debutant Scottie Stockman to the promotion.

Speaking of Italian former champions, former 135lbs champ Michele Martignoni returns to the bantamweight division in pursuit of the title he never lost, when he faces newcomer Raz Bring.

On Saturday night, a pair of title bouts will feature on CW 168.

Headlining will be the light heavyweights, as Andrew Clamp and Matty Byfield throw down for the vacant strap.

In a special ‘Featured UFC Fight Pass Title Fight’, Liam Gittins makes the first defence of his bantamweight crown when he meets American Roberto Hernandez.

Also on the card, unbeaten prospect Luke Riley returns to test his mettle against American veteran John De Jesus.
