Background

A super lightweight bout between Acoidan Duque and Donovan Desmae is scheduled as the event headliner.

On November 18th, BRAVE Combat Federation will host an event in a 30th different country as it enters Spain for the first time. The show will continue to stretch the promotion’s lead as the most global MMA organization on the planet, further emphasising the impact the promotion is having in Europe and worldwide.

At BRAVE CF 75, the main event of the evening will see Acoidan Duque go head-to-head with Donovan Desmae. Both men will be making their official BRAVE CF debut, and while Duque may be seen by many as the hometown Spanish hero, Desmae has connections of his own.

“Vegas” trains at Climent Club alongside BRAVE CF alumni Ilia Topuria, who is widely considered to be the best MMA fighter that Spain has ever produced. He is teammates with Ilia’s brother Aleksandre as well, and although Duque is bound to have the upper hand in the crowd as a result of him being from Tenerife, you can bet Desmae will have more than a few fans cheering for him.

After previous opportunities with European-based promotions, he is looking to breakout on the global stage. Desmae has three wins in his last four fights, which shows he is turning a corner - and when you put that alongside his eight knockout victories, it becomes clear why he’s seen as such a dangerous opponent for Duque.

In addition to that, he’s also never been submitted in his professional career. He holds a black belt in jiu-jitsu and has spent years committing himself to the craft, with his intentions next Saturday being pretty clear: make an impact and shock the world - starting with the pro-Duque Tenerife crowd.
