Background
For the 125-pound supremacy, the champion of Ultimate Warrior Challenge Mexico (UWC), João Camilo Neto (8-5-1), from Aparecida de Goiânia, Brazil, returns to face Daniel Barez (14-5-0), from Valencia Spain.
The UWC president reported that the Lightweight Champion, Pablo “Gallo Negro” Sabori (13-6-1 ) suffered an injury during his preparation for the first defense of the title, and creating an interim championship was not an option.
This will be the second matchup between the Brazilian and the Spaniard, with the European winning the first duel on December 7, 2019, a close match that ended as a split decision for Barez. So the new UWC Champion, who captured the belt on May 27 of this year, will not only be looking for his first defense of the title but also to get some revenge against the Spaniard.
In Featherweight qualifier, Rachid “Haz” El Hazoume (10-2-0), from Targa Wassay, Morocco, will clash against Leonardo “Chimmy” Morales (11-6-0), from Managua, Nicaragua, both on winning streaks.
