Background
The vacant Ultimate Warrior Challenge Mexico (UWC) Lightweight Championship will be held on Friday, April 29 between Ángel “Pasha” Rodríguez and Pablo “Gallo Negro” Sabori at El Foro (former Jai Alai Palace of Tijuana).
The Mexico City native Rodríguez has a professional record of 10-5-0 after debuting on July 15, 2017 with a victory against Alan "Core" Llado, whom he stopped by technical knockout at 3:01 minutes of the first round.
At the moment, Rodríguez is in one of the best stages of his career, having won four of his recent five fights, and on January 15 of this year he knocked out Alberto "Beto" Sánchez (7-9-1) in 68 seconds.
In his career, four victories have been by knockout and five by submission, only once has he won by decision. Since he is a fighter who goes out to win before the bell, he has not left the situation in the hands of the judges more then once.
In this he is similar to Sabori (11-6-1), in that he seeks victory at all costs. Now being one of the most prestigious championships in Mexico at stake.
